Used to prevent the formation of yeast moulds and bacteria Parabens would increase the shelf life of shampoos, soaps, conditioners etc. Though there has recently been much concern over the link between parabens and links to cancer especially breast cancer with parabens being found inside 70% of breast tumour growths.

Mineral oils are commonly used in skin care products though ironically can be quiet drying and has been linked to a vast number of skin problems. A clear liquid which is inexpensive in fact it the cost is greater to dispose of it. Mineral oil contains no nutritional values to the skin or bodies what so ever. it actually clogs the skins pores and slows the skins ability to release toxins, which over time will build up to cause more complicated issues.

Lanoline is also a product which has been removed from the majority of the wild Ferns beauty products range. Derived from sheep wool Lanoline actually contains excellent properties for skin care though was removed as some people have sensitive to it.

The Wild Ferns Range is made of 70% natural ingredients every effort has been made to ensure naturally derived ingredients are used as much as possible though ensuring its a safer though affordable option for everyday use. An element of science is used to ensure texture and consistency is used and ensures longevity of the product. There preservative are developed by hand and are sometimes used to eliminate bacteria which may be present in crème products and prevent any further growth.
